I guess if you lived in the Sierras or the Rockies, you might not get a thrill out of seeing snow on the mountains. But around the Tri-Valley, it is always a treat the half dozen times or so each year that we see snow on Mt. Diablo, Mt. Hamilton, and other bay area peaks. With the lush green grass and the clear skies, it does look a little like Shangri-La. Courtesy of the Contra Costa Times.

How beautiful
Not enough people give the U.S. credit for all the beautiful natural land forms in our nation. We live on the most beautiful continent in the world!
