Remember that bond measure (Proposition 1B) you voted yes on that were supposed to fund highway improvements? Well, it looks like the ship has come in. The California Transportation Commission alloted $1.29 Billion towards highway improvements in the Bay Area, with the Tri-Valley getting a large portion of those funds for much needed improvements.
Planned improvements in the Tri-Valley include a carpool lane on I-580 through Dublin and Livermore (gee… we don’t need that at all) and (finally) an extension and interchange for Isabel Ave to I-580. Also on the list is adding a 4th bore to the Caldicot Tunnel.
A great day for the government and commuters. Now, if they could just fix that traffic light at Dougherty Road and Dublin Blvd…
