There’s a new Farmers Market in Pleasanton. Apparently, the good folks at Stoneridge Mall don’t want anyone to be without fresh fruits, vegetables, and specialty foods, so they are now holding their own Farmers Market in the Mall Parking lot (between Macy’s and Sears) on Fridays between noon and 6:00 PM, and Sunday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

So now you can compliment your new Liz Claiborne raspberry cashmere sweater with a flat of locally grown raspberries. It makes perfect sense. I mean, how many times have you walked out of the mall, only to think to yourself “damn, I forgot to get bananas!” or “nothing would top this perfect day of shopping more than some fresh organic Japanese Eggplants!” Not to be outdone, the Pleasanton Downtown Association announced plans to open a major regional shopping mall next to the site of their Saturday Farmers Market, between Neal and Angela Streets (just kidding).
