While Draeger’s Market has a century old history in the Bay Area, it was a relative newcomer to the East Bay when the Peninsula-based grocer opened its doors at Blackhawk Plaza in 2008.
Since then, the market has thrived and tapped into the local foodie population that appreciates finding organic produce, high quality meats and cheeses, specialty food items, attentive butchers, a formidable array of wines, and an award winning bakery, all under one roof. Dying for Australian Vegemite? They have it. Looking for that obscure but unforgettable jam that you enjoyed for breakfast on your last trip to Austria? Chances are, you can find it at Draeger’s. Want the best apple pie in 9 counties? It’s here. And as an added bonus, their housewares department has nearly everything you need. Who needs to drive to the mall just to buy a coffee maker or the perfect hostess gift? Draeger’s has it.

However, their most popular food item is not something you want to serve at your next dinner party (unless you don’t want to remain friends with your guests). Draeger’s sells their very own special blend of Duck Food. As you can imagine, it is a big hit with the children, as well as the ducks.
