A Danville Daycation

For many of us who long for a getaway, sometimes life just gets in the way.  Between work, school, kids, and other obligations, sometimes it’s just not possible to take that dream vacation.  And for some, treating yourself to a little bit of  indulgence just isn’t in the cards.

What to do when you just need some pampering?  Well, the Town of Danville has a solution.  In a very special collaboration among several Danville businesses, they gave one very worthy single mother the day of indulgence that she rightly deserves.  Robi Perley, a long time Danville resident, was nominated and selected to enjoy a “Danville Daycation.”  Along with her mother, Perley indulged in a wellness, dining and shopping spree.  Highlights included a nutrition evaluation at INTUN Health Center, a massage and facial at KURE Wellness, pedicures at Tootsies, and a mini-makeover at Jerol Salon and Day Spa.  They enjoyed dining experiences at Norm’s Place and Vinoteca.  The spree was made complete with wardrobe and accessory consultations at Christina’s Fine Clothing, Twenty One Tango, Hartz and Soles, Last Detail and Cottage Jewel.

So for those of us lucky enough to live in the Tri-Valley, we need look no farther than our own hometowns for some me-time inspiration.  Not only can we feed our minds and bodies, we can support our local businesses.  From casual to fine dining, spa experiences to shopping, Danville is a beautiful town in which to spend a day…or a lifetime.
