San Ramon Art & Wind Festival

If your plans keep you home this Memorial Day weekend, why not kick off the start of the Summer season at the San Ramon Art & Wind Festival? This annual event will return to San Ramon Central Park on May 30 and 31, from 10 am to 5 pm daily. The festival will feature live entertainment on 3 stages, over 200 booths featuring arts and crafts, kite-making workshops, kite-flying demonstrations, and activities for the entire family!

For many, witnessing the hot air balloon launch is the highlight of the weekend and has even become a family tradition. This year, the launch will take place on Monday, May 31st, and not only features the launching of the balloons, but a hang gliding demonstration, as well. Depending on the wind and the weather, the launch will take place between 6:30 to 7:30 am, however, pilots will begin set up as early as 5:30 am.
