Over the course of the summer, Danville and San Ramon will be buzzing with artistic fervor. Whether you enjoy a street fair atmosphere whilst sipping fine wines and taking in art displays or getting your heart pumping with an invigorating bike ride, there is something for every art lover who wishes to support the local arts and art education.
is a lovely way to celebrate the local artists in the San Ramon Valley. On June 19 & 20, from 10 am to 6 pm, Hartz Avenue in downtown Danville will be an artist’s haven, and the fair is in its 19th year of showcasing the local art community. Featuring over 200 Fine Arts and Contemporary Craft displays, a wide variety of media will be presented, from photography to wood. There will also be dazzling exhibitions of Italian street painting, live entertainment, and activities for children; there is something for the entire family. Not to be missed are the food, wine and microbrews; savor local treats, both sweet and savory, while you chat with local artists.
If breaking a sweat is more your thing, gear up for
on Saturday, July 17th. The event will take place at San Ramon Central Park from 6:30 am to 4 pm, with three rides to challenge you (chose from 95, 65 and 20 miles) to benefit art programs and theaters in the local community.
Now, if you happen to miss these events, do not worry. All year round, the has exhibits to inspire you. This summer, from June 18 to July 3, they are proud to present the SRVUSD High School Student Recognition Project Art Exhibition . Award winners from the local high school will display pieces from visual, digital, film photography, applied design, and fashion design. Also, they will be hosting a free Art Chat on June 23
from 7 to 8 pm, where local residents are invited to discuss art and demystifying the art world
