Take a stroll through downtown Danville, and you will notice the streets and storefronts patriotically festooned in red, white and blue. The town is gearing up for one of its biggest events of the year, the annual Danville 4th of July Parade. At least 40,000 spectators from all over the Bay Area are expected to view the parade which is organized annually by the Kiwanis Club of the San Ramon Valley. This year, the parade is sponsored by Heller Jewelers.

This year’s theme, “Honoring Our Heroes,” will highlight local heroes in the community, from the valley’s more famous and recognized faces to those less recognized. The two hour long parade begins at 11 am, starting from Hartz Avenue near San Ramon Valley High School to Sycamore Valey  Rd. Spectator chairs will be permitted to be placed along the parade route no earlier than 6 pm on July 3rd.

After the parade, round out your July 4th Celebrations by going to the City of San Ramon Red, White & Blue Picnic in San Ramon, followed by the July 4th Fireworks Display in the evening.
