The Parks of Danville: Osage Station Park

Flanked by a meticulously maintained memorial Rose Garden, Train Station-themed play area, and fields of green, Osage Station Park is a fantastic park for the entire family. This 35 acre park has a field for tennis, baseball and soccer players. The path that circles the park is perfect for jogging, working out with circuit training, or good ole bike and scooter rides.

Children can unleash their inner conductor in the adorable play area designed in a train station theme. The large play structure is close to a dinosaur sand pit, where future archeologists can excavate to their heart’s delight. The bbq pits and picnic tables make it an ideal spot for a children’s party, as well.

One word of caution: on busy sports weekends, parking can be challenging! But don’t worry, the parking effort is worth it.

While Osage Station Park is already a lovely place to find rest and recreation, the Town of Danville will be updating the park’s Master Plan, the last Danville Park to do so. It will be exciting to see what the future holds for this already wonderful outdoor space!
