Farmers Market

Want some juicy peaches, sweet strawberries, garden-grown tomatoes, or other signature tastes of the season? You can stretch summer out a few more weeks, at least for your taste buds, by checking out the Livermore Certified Summer Farmers’ Market.

Pick up your seasonal fruits and vegetables, enjoy some live music and hang out with your family and friends every Thursday through Oct. 20 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The fun is held at Carnegie Park at 3rd & J Street.

And if you’re a wine fan, then you have two more Thirsty Thursdays left until they disappear quicker than a tasty glass of merlot. On every third Thursday, the farmers’ market will be enhanced with local wine tasting and arts and crafts. An event glass is $10 and can be used for both the remaining Thirsty Thursday events. Tokens for tasting are sold five tokens for $5. One token will get you a 1-ounce taste while five tokens will fetch you a 6-ounce glass.
