If your family enjoys kite
flying, great musical entertainment, an event with tons of stuff to keep the kids busy, great food, arts and crafts, and a hot air balloon launch, then you’ll want to mark your calendar for May 27 and 28 for the San Ramon Art & Wind Festival.
You can enjoy an array of entertainment throughout the two days on three stages. A kids’ zone will bring lots of smiles to your little ones’ faces. They’re sure to love the crafts and games, coloring contest, more than a dozen kids’ amusement park-style attractions, and free kite-making workshops.
Local non-profits will be earning money for their various groups at an array of food booths – everything from gyros and strawberry shortcake to pulled pork and peach cobbler. So come hungry.
And that’s not all. Nearly 200 of the best artists in the state and beyond will exhibit and sell their work during the event. Visitors will enjoy a wide variety of beautifully hand-crafted items – paintings, photographs, jewelry, clothing, pottery, toys and more.
On Monday, May 28, if the weather cooperates, spectators will be treated to a dawn Hot Air Balloon Launch at about 6 a.m.
The event takes place at San Ramon Central Park, 12501 Alcosta Blvd.
