Get Your Taste Buds Ready: Taste of Terroir Wine Event is July 19 in Pleasanton

July 17, 2012 • Dublin, Dublin Community, Pleasanton, Pleasanton Community, Ruby Hill, Ruby Hill Community

French wines are usually made to accompany food.

If you’re a wine-foodie, then you’ll want to grab your tickets for Taste of Terroir, a July 19 event that brings together Livermore Valley Winemakers and Bay Area Chefs for a memorable evening of wine and food pairings showcasing the Valley’s bountiful “terroir” (a french word for soil and is pronounced “ter-wah”).

The winemakers and chefs collaborate long before the event to create the most delectable combinations imaginable. More than 16 winery/restaurant teams compete. Ticket holders can cast their votes for People’s Choice Award. And, in a blind tasting, our Culinary and Media Judges will present awards for Most Innovative Pairing, Best Classic Pairing and Judges’ Best (Awards presented at 8:15pm).

In addition, you can indulge your sweet tooth with a room dedicated to desserts and ports.

The patio will feature additional Livermore Valley Wines and a live band.

The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and will run until 9 p.m. at the Palm Event Center, located at 1184 Vineyard Ave.

Tickets are $85 and can be purchased at https://www.lvwine.org/amass/wizards/eventticketpurchase/index.php?id=1728.

Must be 21 to attend.  ID is required.
