Grammy winner John Fogerty, author of iconic tunes like “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Fortunate Son,” and “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” will perform Aug. 1 at Wente Vineyards in Livermore.
In addition to his own original tunes, the master musician has recreated 12 classics, including the Everly Brothers’ “When Will I Be Loved,” Rick Nelson’s “Garden Party,” and John Denver’s “Back Home Again.”
As longtime Fogerty fans will recall, the Blue Ridge Rangers made their first appearance in 1973 when the Grammy® winner released an album of classic covers (including “Jambalaya” and “She Still Thinks I Care”) under that moniker. The name was deceptive: the Rangers were Fogerty and Fogerty alone. He played all the instruments including drums.
The Wente Vineyards Concerts offer the ultimate entertainment experience, by combining stellar performances by top name headliners with the stunning ambiance of a spectacular vineyard setting.
Wente Vineyards is located at 5050 Arroyo Road in Livermore. The show begins at 8:15 p.m.
