Celebrate Dog Days of Summer: 15th Annual Pleasanton Pooch Parade is Aug. 1

Grab your favorite canine and get ready for the 15th Annual Pooch Parade at Lions Wayside Park in Pleasanton

Aug. 1.

Entry fee is $10 per dog, per category. Proceeds go to the Tri-Valley Guide Dog Puppy Raisers. Pooches of all sizes are welcome, but must be at least four months old.

Categories this year are:

  • Most Creative Costume: pooches only
  • Cute Enough As Is: pooch over/under 30 lbs.
  • Best Team Outfit: human and pooch
  • Puppy Fun: pooches under 2 years of age
  • Senior Pooch: pooches 10 years old and up
  • Best Trick: pooches of all ages

Registration and judging gets under way at 5:30 p.m. Trick dogs will perform at 6:30 with the parade kicking off at 7 p.m.

The first 200 registrants will receive a free gift.

Lions Wayside Park is located at the corner of First and Neal streets.
