The City of Dublin
is kicking off a new event called “splatter,” which brings together the region’s outstanding wines, diverse cuisine, and unique creative culture in the Tri-Valley region.
The event will take place Sept. 22 at Emerald Glen Park.
You’ll have the chance to watch unique events like Canstruction, in which canned goods are fashioned into an impressive monument. Artists who sculpt amazing works out of balloons and food (separately) will also wow you and your family. Or maybe a bubblesmith (someone who creates huge bubbles from just their hands) or chalk artist are more your style.
There will also be a tasting pavilion, a culinary performance stage featuring local and celebrity chefs, musical entertainment, an arts and culinary marketplace, mobile food trucks, and more.
Live music will be provided all day from bands including Luvplanet, Finding Stella, and Double Funk Crunch.
General admission is free but passports ($25 and $30) are required for the tasting pavilion. There will be both free and pay-to-play activities available.
The festival gets under way at 10 a.m. and will end with a bang with an evening concert from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and an aerial fireworks show at dusk.
