While the inventory of single family detached homes in Dublin increased 19% in August, pended sales did even better, increasing 28%. 50 sales pended during August, the most here since April 2009. There were 39 pended sales during July. By comparison, there were 34 pended sales in August 2011. Inventory increased from 42 at the end of July to 50 at the end of August. Inventory was about 63% of the level from a year ago. That left exactly one month of inventory relative to pended sales at the end of August, down slightly from 1.1 months at the end of July.

It was interesting to see such strong gains in both inventory and sales in August. Demand here is very strong, so it was nice to see more inventory.
