More than 200 artisans from around the country and the Bay Area display their often one-of-a-kind artwork during this two-day event, including varying styles and mediums of painting, sculpture, glass, ceramics and photography, as well as mixed-media, fiber, metal, leather and wood. Italian Street Painting brings art to life both days, when 11 California chalk artists create flower-based themed 12-by-12-foot chalk masterpieces on the pavement of Prospect Avenue. Street musicians will strum and sing at three locations.

New this year, Abstract Alley features whimsical and inspirational sculptures at School and Hartz Avenue. Prospect Avenue Activities during the weekend include a Classic Car Show and a Vintage BMX bike show on East Prospect (Sunday only).

Lace up your sneaks and bring the whole family downtown to the Pleasanton arch at 8a.m. this Sunday, June 16th for the 20th Annual Father’s Day Spirit Run.  Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pleasanton, this year’s race will support college scholarships for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings as well as local students.

Check in and race-day registration begin at 6:30 a.m.  The 10k event begins at 8a.m. while a 5k run/walk starts at 8:20a.m.  Kids challenge races for ages 2 through 8 begin at 9:30a.m.

Registration fees are $10 for the kids challenge ($15 on race day); $22 for grades K-8 ($30 on race day); $32 for high school students and adults ($40 on race day), and $22 each for families of four or more ($30 on race day).

The 101st Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton, themed “Summer Fun Starts Here!” with families, food and fun filled summer days and nights, features $1 admission and $1 rides on opening day, June 19th and runs through July 7th, (closed on Mondays).   As always, there’s a list of popular traditions including rides, exhibits, animals, horse racing, and free nightly concerts.  Fireworks will be held on Fridays June 21, June 28 and July 5th.  June 21st is also Military Appreciation Day with free fair admission for Veterans with proof of service and for active service women/men plus 1 guest with valid military ID. Livermore is gearing up for its 95th Annual Rodeo with festivities kicking off on Wednesday, June 5th at 6p.m.  Check out the Cattle Penning show of greenhorns and cowboys rounding up cattle on the Livermore Rodeo Grounds at the James Anderson Ranch, 3000 Robertson Park Road (the 580/Portola Avenue off ramp.)  Then dance the night away at a barbecue Mixer from 5:30-8:30p.m. with music by the Buck Ford Pure Country Band.  Advanced tickets only at Baughman’s Western Outfitters, 2029 Fist Street Livermore.  Adults $20, kids 5-13 $10, 4 and under are free.

Bring the kids down to Rodeo Family Night on Thursday, June 6th with local team roping and wild cow milking at the Robertson Park Rodeo arena at 6p.m. (Gates open at 5p.m.) Admission, hotdogs and sodas are $1 each.

On Friday, June 7th a free Rodeo Slack takes place at the Arena with timed events (not bull or bronc riding) for the overflow of entrants who can’t compete on June 8th and 9th.

Saturday, June 8th brings the 95th Annual Livermore Rodeo Parade downtown at 10a.m., with marching bands, firetrucks and high-stepping horses onto Third Street, turning on O Street and heading up Second Street before ending on J Street.

Also on Saturday is the Cowboy Experience where rodeo fans can meet competitors, rodeo queens, and clowns at the Arena from 12:30 to 1:30.

On June 8th and 9th Livermore’s 95th Annual Rodeo will be held at the Robertson Park Rodeo Arena, 3000 Robertson Park Road, Livermore with gates open at 11a.m. and a grand entry at 3p.m.  Parking is $10. Kids 2 and under are free, Tickets are $12-$20 with a $1 discount for ages 3-12 and those over 60. Tickets are sold at the gate or advance tickets can be purchased at Baughman’s Western Outfitters on 2029 First Street or call 925-455-1550.  Wear pink on Saturday in support of Give Cancer the Boot! and wear red on Saturday in support of our service men and women.

On Sunday, June 9th there will be a Lil’ Pardners Mini Rodeo at 11a.m. organized by the Livermore Stockmen’s Rodeo Association for a group of about 40 physically or mentally challenged children.

On Saturday, June 15th at 8a.m., the Livermore Junior Rodeo will take place, featuring children and teens in a range of rodeo events.

The average list price of the 36 pending sales is $877,640 or $327 per square foot.  These homes have been on the market for an average of only nine days.  11 of the pending sales are distressed (30%).

The average sales price of the 58 homes that sold during the past six months was $939,433 or $301 per square foot.  They were on the market for an average of 24 days and sold for about 102% of the average list price.  17 of the sold properties were distressed (29%).  That figure is down from the 40% it had been a year ago.

Windemere is a master planned community in the Dougherty Valley area of San Ramon, built between 2002 and 2006.  It has new schools, a new library and over 1,100 acres of permanent open space.  Homes range from townhomes to luxury homes on generous lots.
