Free smoke detectors for seniors
Seniors in the San Ramon Valley are not only eligible for free smoke detectors, they also will be installed. If new detectors are not needed, batteries will be changed in existing ones.

Danville Girls 'Singin' in the Rain' tomorrow
Danville Girls Chorus invites everyone to come celebrate all the types of unpredictable weather we've been having at its concert, "We're Singin' in the Rain," tomorrow at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 13, at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, 9015 South Gale Ridge Rd., San Ramon. Jazz@Peace concert Sunday night
Listen to Swedish Farm Jazz performed by Inga Swearingen at 5 p.m., Sunday, March 14, at Peace Lutheran Church, 3201 Camino Tassajara, Danville. Last weekend for photography exhibit at museum
Tomorrow, March 13, is the last day to see the exhibit of original photographs reflecting the San Ramon Valley, past and present, in color and black and white, at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley. Starting March 16, high school student photography will be on display until March 31. The museum is located at the corner of Railroad and Prospect avenues in downtown Danville. It is open from 1-4 p.m., Tuesday-Friday and from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday. Admission varies. Call 837-3750 or visit www.museumsrv.org.

Preschool laughs with a 'corny' ventriloquist
Town of Danville Recreation Services invites preschool children to laugh with ventriloquist Steve Chaney and the "Corny Crow" as part of its Pre-School Performance Series today at 10 a.m., Friday, March 12, at Village Theatre, 233 Front St., Danville. The show includes laughter, songs, learning with alphabet jokes, animal jokes, and age appropriate humor. This show is free.
