Pleasanton - California Place/California Summerset

California Place and California Summerset are single family home neighborhoods located on the eastern edge of Pleasanton off W. Las Positas Blvd. Both neighborhoods were built by Kauffman & Broad (now KB Homes).

California Place was built first in 1988 & 1989, and feature 3 & 4 bedroom homes ranging from 1880 to 2260 sq ft, with 2 and 3 car garages and lots generally ranging from 5000 to 6300 sq ft.

California Summerset was built after California Place in 1993 & 1994, and features homes ranging from 1550 to 2050 sq ft, with 2 car attached garages and lots in the 4000 to 6000 sq ft range, with an occaisional cul-de-sac lot up to 8000 sq ft. There are a handful of duettes in this development as well, which are in the 1400 to 1500 sq ft range on smaller lots.

These neighborhoods are both located within walking distance of Meadows Park.  There is also access to the Pleasanton Meadows greenbelt, which offers direct access to Fairlands Elementary School, the neighborhood school.  There are also several parks within the greenbelt.
