San Ramon - Gale Ranch/Alta Mira

Gale Ranch is a large planned community built by Shapell Industries in the Dougherty Valley. The development was built in several phases. The original phases, Alta Mira I & Alta Mira II, were built between 1990 and 1997. These homes range from 2000 sq ft to over 3800 sq ft, with 2 and 3 car garages and lot sizes from 4000 to 9000 sq ft, with a handful of lots in the 10,000 sq ft to 14,000 sq ft range. Beginning in 2003, Shappell launched the current phase of Gale Ranch, with several offerings of homes ranging from 1500 sq ft to well over 4500 sq ft, on lots ranging from 3000 sq ft for the high density product, to over 1/3 acre for the luxury homes. Coyote Valley School, as well as a new shopping center at the corner of Bollinger Canyon and Dougherty Road, are located within the development.
