"Springtown" as it is known today actrually encompasses several neighboroods, with homes ranging from 850 sq ft up to 2000 sq ft.

 

Springtown was originally built in the 1960's in conjunction with a public golf course of the same name.  Located in North Livermore, these modest starter homes were situated around the golf course.  They range in size from 870 - 1300 sq ft, with both 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom homes on 5000 to 7500 sq ft lots.

 

Spring Valley was built in the mid 1980's, and features detached homes ranging from 100 - 1300 sq ft on 5000 - 7000 sq ft lots.

 

Spring Valley Commons are condos ranging from 850 - 1300 sq ft, also built in the mid 1980's.

 

Proud Country, also in the Springtown area, features homes built between 1968 - 1973, ranging from 1100 to 1700 sq ft on generous 7000 to 9000 sq ft lots.

 

CA Horizons, built by K & B Homes in 1990, feature detached single family homes ranging from 1500 - 2000 sq ft on 4500 to 5000 sq ft lots.

 

These neighborhods are popular mostly due to their affordability, and their relatively large lots.  Springtown has excellent access to I-580 for easy commuting, and with the development of North Livermore, there are new schools and shopping in close proximity.
